Yesterday I got one of those nifty little cards in the mailbox telling me I have a parcel to be picked up. Only I got it after I got home from work, so I had to wait until today to get it. So I spent the evening pondering and wondering who might have sent me a parcel, since I wasn't really expecting anything.
Well, this afternoon I took myself down to the post office and picked it up. The mystery of
who was solved by looking at the outside -
ashlan, wonderful person that she is - but not the mystery of
what, although a peek at the customs declaration (which are just big party poopers, I reckon) gave me a hint. So, I took myself to the park next door to wrestle with the layers of heavy duty tape. Talk about your high-security package! Good thing my house key is rather large and jagged, because it makes an excellent emergency pocket knife. ;) Any way, I carefully sorted through the shredded paper, I lifted out the niftiest little lunch box, hand painted by the amazing Ashlan and absolutely crawling with lizards. *chuckles* We don't get these metal lunchboxes here, just the plastic ones, and Ash's handiwork is just so cool!
Any way, after oohing and awwing and chuckling at the outside, I got around to opening it. Lots of goodies, smiley and lizard-related, and scattered throughout hundreds of tiny shiny stars. And in the bottom, little silver bells and little sequin-y things. Everytime I open it, I leave a scattering of stars, which is actually kind fun. I like leaving stars behind me. ;)
So, I've gots me a new lizard pendant on a chain, a "Rossi" choker, a "Pixie Of Death" chain, a bandanna with smileys that will match the cycling socks I have, the cutest little beanie frog and lizard keychains, and some stickers, plus a couple of caps from the bizzare health drink you have up there that uses Frank as its logo, with amusing little messages inside. And lots of shinies. *giggles* I'm suffering from slight shiny overdose here.
I have a plan to turn the bells into an anklet. That way when I tell someone "I'll be there with bells on", I _really_ will be.
*HUGS the Ashlan* Thanks so much, mate. This was... just amazing. A wonderful surprise.
*bounces off, trailing glitter stars*
