Signs of life

It's been a quiet time in terms of LJ for me lately, mainly because I've been insanely busy since Dexcon ended. And broke. So very, very broke.

Last weekend was Cleaning on Saturday, since part of the foul mood was the fact things were a mess from Dexcon and it tends to be a subconscious irritant to have grot happening around me. It's not even untidiness - I can handle piles of things in various place, especially when there's no room for them anywhere else - but the fact the floor was dirty, the bathroom was a mess and the couch covered in crumbs and all askew. So I cleaned and I cleaned and got things to a point where I was happier with them, and then the roomie took me for ice cream, possibly out of self-preservation since I'm particularly obnoxious when I'm in a foul mood.

Then we had D&D the next day and things were a mess again. *wry* Oh well, no-one ever said my timing was great. And the gaming was fun, especially since we finished the campaign we'd been stuck on with only one death. Good thing I roll well when bargaining for resurrection spells. Just never any other time.

Monday was quiet, as I had the place to myself for the evening. I spent it mainly taking care of XP stuff. I made myself pasta for dinner, since there was half a jar of sauce needing to be used. Slept horribly, with lots of waking and bad dreams.

Tuesday - Band Night, and [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] came over to borrow our wireless since the one she has access to is horribly slow. I was dumb and had three beers and a vodka and cranberry on an empty stomach because all I'd eaten was lunch (leftover pasta) and got myself into a bit of a state. *sighs* Time to re-do the 'Days since Jo has had a drunken crying jag' sign, dammit.

Wednesday... last night! I went over to [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]'s new place and met her parents and helped sand and paint furniture. The fact I got home at 11:30 pm is an indication of the good time that was had. I like her folks, they're very easy to talk to. And the apartment is adorable. There's envy going on. ;)

Tonight I'm going to the baseball game with the roomie and [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com], which'll be fun. I've also got birthday plans laid for the roomie (he gets drinks Saturday and Tuesday, since he won't be here for his birthday and people are split availability-wise). I still have no idea as to a present, tho'. *meeps*

And parentals, I shall call this weekend. I've been most remiss a daughter with the contacting, I know, but it's been seriously insane here for the last couple of months.
