Spectating.
Yep, I'm still here, just been doing a lot more reading and less writing of LJ. Same goes with email - I'm seriously needing to sit down with no distractions and answer the metric tonne of email that's sitting in my inbox unanswered. I don't even have that good an excuse - just haven't felt up to it, I suppose.
I've been doing major music-type things tonight. BRM has been stopping by afternoons to pick up stuff, including his CDs, which means I've had to speed up the Grand Burning. Unfortunately I discovered several I'd missed in the original grab, and others that aren't as desperately wanted as first thought, so I've had to play around a bit. Including making compilations of artists where there's many CDs but not every song is wanted. *rubs eyes and neck* I've been sitting in front of the CD player making lists of which songs from which albums I want. Doesn't song like much, but after the twelfth CD, you start to get weary. Still, I'm making progress. Kinda. :)
The other thing that's tired me out is writing that job application today. Thank goodness for a quiet day in Wodonga - eeriely so, not one intervention order application in two days *touches wood* - since the task took a lot more effort than I'd thought. Amanda's done a great job betaing it *snickers* and I'll work on it some more tomorrow. Right now my eyes are only half open.
Still not sleeping properly, although Buffy being on last night didn't help plans for an early night. Part of it's a strange bed - I'm using my brother's bed that he left here - but part is having the place to myself. I have no problems being alone in the house - I quite enjoy the freedom it brings, such as running naked from the shower to my room when I couldn'tbe bothered taking clothes in with me - but I suppose I'm still regaining equilibrium after the stresses of the past few weeks. Dex remarked the other day I'd made a remarkable recovery, considering the state I was in, and while I laughed it off and said I was a fast healer or some such thing, maybe I'm not as recovered as I'd like to believe. The sleep thing is definitely part of that - the dreams are still way too vivid for my normal settings, and I'm almost jumpy. The other morning I practically lept awake because I thought I heard someone opening drawers in the kitchen. Nothing there, of course. And I've been hearing things tonight, thinking it was someone at the door. Irritating, because I'm not normally like this.
I suppose I'm just going to have to give myself time. That's one of my problems, demanding too much of myself.

I was trying to come up with another Top Five list, but I could only find four songs, even with BRM's help.
Rossi's Top Four Cycling Songs
4."Pushbike Song" - Captain Matchbox's Whoopie Band, possibly. "Riding along on my pushbike honey..."
3. "Bike" - Pink Floyd. "I've got a bike, it's a very nice bike..."
2."Bicycle" - Queen. "Bicycle, bicycle, I want to ride my bicycle, I want to ride my bike..."
1."The Acoustic Motorbike" - Luka Bloom. "Pedal on, pedal on, pedal on for miles, pedal on."
Yep, the bike's been on my mind, mainly because it's demanding some attention. I pumped up the tyres the other day - the problem with high pressure tyres is that they tend to gradually go flat and you need to pump them up weekly - but the chain needs some serious cleaning/oiling. *bleahs* My least-favourite chore, as I invariably end up covered in black goo. But the gears are slipping badly and it's better to get gooed than to have to get a new chain and possibly gears, so I'll have to do it some time this week. After I've been to the bike shop and gotten my own cleaning device (a nifty little gizmo that clips onto your chain and you fill it with solvent and run the chain through several brushes, like a tiny chain car-wash) and some Triflow to reoil it with. True there's some of BRM's stuff still in the shed, but it's my bike and about time I got my own stuff for it. Besides, it's not like he's going to be around to do it for me any more.
I've got to say though, the difference a service makes. I flew down to work the morning after I pumped up the tyres - imagine what speed I'll be able to hit with the chain happy! *grins* I'm trying to break the 45 km/hr mark on the hill.

And just before I go, congrats to Suu Kyi, finally released from house arrest. About time there was some good international news. Or even good domestic news, for that matter.
