"Something woke me up, must have been the rain..."

This morning I awakened to the sound of rain.

It hasn't really rained here for about three months. Not really unusual, were it summer. But it's autumn, and the hills are horribly dead-looking, all brownish-grey, and the trees looking kind of scruffy and tatty. We need the rain, and I'm more than willing to sacrifice the perfect cycling days we've been having in order to get it.

So rain today and yesterday and probably for the rest of the week is a Very Good Thing.

Another Very Good Thing is the birthday card I got in the maiilbox today. _bounce_, you are a truly wonderful person, and I'm crowning you Princess Of Darkness as a result of that delightfully evil Remy/Rogue story you finally wrote for me after much nagging. qodarkness has a padawan apprentice. *grins*

I wish you many days of sweet smelling new growth, eucalyptus and the sky in that perfect colour when it's been freshly washed...
