Trains, bikes and chocolate...
Three hours or so until I catch my train. *bounces* Then seven hours or so until I see Raphie! Whee!
Catch up day at work today - catching up on all the stuff that got left on my desk yesterday. Gods, we were so busy. Poor Paula if that's what it's like in the office every court day! Still, at least we managed to get back on track today, and even had a treat for morning tea - one of the Juvenile Justice workers bought in an Indulgence pack of Tim Tams - that's twenty-two Tim Tams, instead of the usual eleven. They're going to last us all week, since neither of us is hugely into chocolate.
Yep, as much as that may surprise people, I'm not a big chocoholic. Easter is always a bit overwhelming, after a while; I usually end up sharing any choccies I get. So Raph and her family are in for a treat, since Greg Duncan, one of the solicitors, gave Paula and I a box of Roses chocolates each today. ;)
[Side note: Yes, Tim Tams normally come in packs of eleven. A prime number. Which means a packet can never be equally shared... unless you buy another one. Wonder if that's deliberate?]
The roads were on the insane side tonight around the supermarkets - people getting in their Easter supplies. Which is dumb, really, because the shops are only closed on Friday and it's not like anyone's going to starve. ;) I ended up taking the bike path - school holidays means no school kids to skittle, so it was safe for Cecil, my touring bike. I use the mountain bike on school days, since it means I can zoom off into the grass to avoid obstacles like roller bladers and those stupid little scooter-things.
We've got a couple of BRM's school mates here at the moment. Martin, who is Welsh, and looks a little like Spike from Buffy with a tan and a much nicer demenour, adn Lachlan, who is odd, to put it frankly, but intriguing. He has the most amazing curiosity about things.
Hmm, looks like food's up. Better go. I'm not sure if I'll be able to update over the next four days, but if I don't, don't panic. I'm just having too much fun with Raph. Stay tuned for the run down. ;)
