No angst today. Maybe angst tomorrow
Seems I'm bucking the trend on my friends list and not being angsty, or grumpy, or aggrieved, or even tetchy (although I was a couple of posts ago). I should be, because the travel agent was closed and I couldn't pick up my tickets, but Dad has offered to run me over to Albury on Tuesday after work and get them then, so I'm not overly stressed. And I need to switch the electrical plg adaptor I got for the States because it's not the right one. And I have a painful coldsore that feels like half my nose is about to fall off "Elephant Man" style, but I'm still in a good mood. Could come of watching Spider and Rose on TV with mum, or the eps of Buffy (the one where Willow gets approached to become a vengence demon) and Angel (the one where Doyle dies! Wah!) I caught this afternoon on cable, or possibly the fact I got to see an episode of Neon Genesis Evangelion last night whilst chatting to my RaphieSis, or even the email from Farli and Phil yesterday and the fact that I have only nine more work days before I'm done with Wodonga Court for good, or the fact I've forgotten how to end this sentence... *grins* Any way, I'm feeling good, feeling happy, and I'm wondering why it is people are acting so snarky lately. Must be something in the air.
Excuse me for a minute, I feel the need for a little gloat about my trip.
*gloatgloatgloat*
Okay, done. No more gloating. Gloat free zone here.
It's freezing here today. Definite snow feel to the wind - it's been smowing pretty much non-stop the last week or two in the Alps, much to the delight of the ski peoples. *grins* In high school I had a Geography teacher who every March/April would start wearing his "Pray for Snow" badge. Hang on a sec, I'll check the thermometer out in the patio.
*returns*
Well, that was dumb. It's wet out where the thermometer is and dark besides, so all I managed was wet socks. Um, and the temp is somewhere below ten degrees C/20 degrees F. Cold, anyway. By Aussie standards.
Got a quote for you guys. Heard in the foyer of the court from one of our locals ferals:
"I'm not a slut, I share myself around!"
*shakes head* I'm so not touching that one. Actually, looking at this girl, it's a wonder anyone else does too. ;) We're talking gorilla biscuits here.
And I'm making dinner tonight for my folks. So off I go to start it. :)
