At last!

Actually, I found this out this morning, but I'm still happy. Even after the Afternoon From Clerk Hell.

I HAVE A PLACE!!!!!

And it's the one I wanted the most, in the middle of Brunswick, with a decent pub five minutes' walk away, a shopping centre on my doorstep, and a choice of trams. I found out too late to move in this weekend, but next weekend, things are Go.

And I'm off to enjoy my Friday night for a change, instead of worrying about having to get up early and go househunting. I just need to pay my bond, and 's all good.

Expect more of me in a week or two, once I'm settled.

Wooo! If that's the pub I'm thinking off, the one with the $2 pots of beer, then you've got an *incredible* location. And the shops are right close too. :)

$2 pots??? Like really pot-sized? Or did you mean to type "pints"? Because even $2 a pint's good, even with the exchange rate.

Nope, it's "pots". It's a Victorian term for a glass, about half the size of a pint. Still, $2 pots are still pretty good value. :) Especially with the exchange rate.

Ooops. I actually don't know how big they are. Sorry. I'm kind of not old enough to actually get into the pub yet. :) Just seen the sign in window. :)

Yep. that's the one - I'm in Barkly Street, a spit away from teh shopping centre and near that really good Indian place, too. :) *grins* Makes the hard work worth it, even if it is a one bedroom place.

I was hoping that was the one. I went through this little mental list of pubs and shopping centers in Brunswick and wound up with that one.
No... not that one. No shopping center there... or there... wait a minute, that one's in Flemington... Yup. Betcha it's that one.
