"Working nine-to-five, what a way to earn a livin'..."

Yes, the song lyrics are getting cheesier.

I'm doing my usual Wednesday night "hang around work late" thing. Tai Chi is at seven-thirty, and with it getting dark by five-ish, and cold besides, I'm not really in the mood to ride home, hang for an hour and a half, and ride back. And then ride home again. So I stay here at work and do illegal-type logging in from my work computer. My philosophy is that it's after-hours, so the chances of getting caught are pretty slim, and if I do, well, that's one good thing about my job. It's practically impossible to get the sack.

Talk about a 'bitty' day today. Bits of this, bits of that, stop-start-stop. We had matters from just about every jurisdiction we can hear - all we needed was a Coroner's Court matter to complete the set! - and while the list wasn't big and the two-day civil matter settled, it still took all day. *sighs* Something about sitting in court all day is just so tiring. I'm much happier spending all day in the office - time isn't as crucial, and you just do your thing, set your own pace. Half the time in court I'm waiting for people - police, solicitors or the magistrate - and the other half I'm scrambling to catch up, like when charges are handed up _during_ a case that haven't previously been filed and I have to put them on the system.

Still, it's another day's work closer to paying off my plane tickets. Which are taking forever this time.

Two months is just too short a time, and too long. *grins* Contrary little cuss, aren't I?

Nice software!

Finally got around to downloading a client for my LJ. Mainly because in their last tweaking, they did something that made things weird for Mac users. But I have the client now, which should improve things as far as those little weird text-y things at the end of my last line goes.

And geek-points - the program's called Phoenix, and uses a nifty piccie of the Marvel Phoenix bird in full flight for the logo. :)
