Doot, doot, doot

Positive reinforcements, not because I'm having a bad day and need them, but because it's good to remind yourself of the good things even on a good day. Stops me from associating postive things with feeling crappy.

1) Band Night last night. Quiet, because of the snowstorm we had last night, but still fun. I asked Johnny to play "Beds Are Burning" in honour of Kevin Rudd's speech yesterday.

2) Coffee. I have a really nice cafe latte from Starbucks just about finished.

3) Break. My XP break, whilst not looking very break-like, is actually going well. Not modding and not actively writing, just reading, has given me the chance to get some stuff together I've been meaning to for a while, stuff which people are responding positively to. And because I know I'm not going to even pitch any of this until Monday, I can just enjoy the discussion.

Which reminds me... any of you XP folks 'speak' Latino barrio boy?

4) Counselling. I have a session tonight, and whilst I still need to write another thought record, I'm actually feeling like I've achieved something by taking the break. Even with several bouts of backsliding during the last two weeks, which I'm regretful about, but not beating myself up over. Go progress.

5) Valentine's Day. I have my plan for tomorrow all worked out, and I'm looking forward to it. Especially the massage part.

6) My parents called on Sunday and we nattered on about their trip. They now have a place to stay in Toronto, a B&B down by Keele, only twenty minutes' walk from our place (5 minute subway trip).

I could have done with a bit more sleep today, I admit. The cats are becoming a bit of an early morning wakeup call. :P

Poll! V-Day Movie Choices!

So, tomorrow there is the Plan Called George. And part of Operation: George is that I'm going to go see a movie, something suitably engrossing and preferably not heavy on the romance. I've managed to narrow the field down to four, but I can't quite decide. The Spiderwick Chronicles are on at 7:45 p.m. at the IMAX, which is a bit earlier than I wanted (I want to try and fill up the whole evening), and Juno is apparently fantastic, and not terribly romantic from the reviews I've been reading, but does deal with Teh Babies. Or I could go completely non-romantic with No Country For Old Men, which is also reportedly made of awesome, or the dubious-quality but very shiny effects movie Jumper, which starts today.

Dilemma, dilemma.

So, I'm asking for your suggestions. You guys should know me well enough to know what I like and don't like. ;)

Naptime?

I don't know why, but someone hit me with the sleepy stick today - I've been out of it all day. And I still have half an hour to go before counselling. :(
