Date of Birth: Unknown
Powers: Probability manipulation.
Status: POTENTIAL X-MAN - AVAILABLE FOR APPLICATIONS.
Domino Discovered by Nathan Dayspring and G.W. Bridge in the fighting pits of Hong Kong as a teenaged girl, Domino became a mercenary and a member of the Pack, despite Nathan and G.W.'s encouragement to do something less dangerous. Her 'luck powers', a combination of mild reality warping and slight precognition, stood her in good stead and over the years she has become family to Nathan and occasionally an injection of logic in the face of his angsting. Currently she works for Elpis at the Tel Aviv office and maintains a relationship with Pete Wisdom.
X-Project is an X-Men movieverse RPG on Livejournal. Set after X2, we've been running since May 2003 and use a combination of in-character journals and email/IM logs. Name: LILLIAN CRAWLEY-JEFFRIES
Date of Birth: October 23, 1985
Powers: Homeostatic bio-aura.
Status: X-MAN - AVAILABLE FOR APPLICATIONS.
Lillian Crawley-Jeffries: Impetuous and short-tempered, Lil fled a difficult marriage and the demands of Beta Flight training to try things with the X-Men. She found herself succeeding almost despite herself, making friends and even experimenting with dating again (usually not terribly successfully due to her conflicted feelings about her husband). But when the new Alpha Flight team was almost completely wiped out, she returned to Canada to care for her injured husband. Her dream of Alpha was dashed by the cancellation of the program, and her future remains very much unsure at this stage.

Henry - better known as Hank - McCoy was one of the school's original students, and left to form an illustrious career as a scientist. When an experiment went horribly wrong and accelerated his mutation, giving him the appearance of the Beast of his codename, Hank sank into depression, nearly killing himself on several occasions in attempts to find a cure. Eventually brought out of despair by his friends from the school, plus colleagues such as Moira MacTaggart, he resumed his career, returning periodically to the school to act as the mansion's inventor and doctor, as well as an X-Man. It was during one of these sojurns that he adopted the son of one of the students, Danielle Moonstar, fulfilling a life-long dream to become a father. With fellow doctor Madelyn Bartlet, he found love, and eventually the couple moved to Edinburgh to raise Billy in a safer environment and further their careers. Hank returned briefly in 2009, but again the conflict between family and duty left him torn. When Billy became seriously ill in 2012, he returned to Scotland.

Also, there is nothing so humbling as people's faith in you, especially when sometimes you have trouble having that faith in yourself. Thanks, XP folks, for believing in me again. I'll do my best for you and the game, as always.

XP: Appreciate what you have
Dec. 5th, 2011 03:56 pmEven though discussions can still get frustrating sometimes and there are misunderstandings, there is no-where near the kind of venomous vitriol and backstabbing that there used to be.
(Or I'm just not on those filters... I kid, I kid)
Any way, for all that frustration sometimes, things are a gazillion times better than the 'old' days. And I'm thankful to the current players for that, for their sanity, their ability to be adult about things and their desire to be constructive.
So, thanks, guys.
(now to wash my brain out with a bucket of bleach!)

She lives!
Oct. 17th, 2011 01:25 pmAny way! I've lived through the Evil Flu of Flu-y Hell and I'm back at work for the first time in a week and a half. There is, naturally, a metric tonne of work to do, which I've triaged and am now gradually working my way through. I've also caught up on various things logging-wise, since I really have been falling down on the job.
Voice is still scratchy, cough is still cough-y and I have my faithful box of aloe vera tissues accompanying me where-ever I go. But I'm out of bed, so that's an improvement, yes?
Now to post a log I had promised for yesterday. Oops.

Name: KAROLINA DEAN
Taste The Rainbow
I know I’ve been a bit of a brat, but believe me, people can change! I’ve had time to grow up and appreciate the joy of having a player. Especially with my powers only half-developed - there’s still so much more for me to learn! And not just about my powers; there’s whole facets of my personality that haven’t been touched on yet! So if you’d like to try your hand at the quintessential New Age mutant lesbian, here I am!

Top Ten Reasons to Join X-Project!
Jul. 14th, 2011 05:26 pm![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
2) No character too obscure or too popular! Check out our active characters and our list of socks available for applications for an idea.
3) We're the best of both worlds. X-Project combines the wackiness of forty years of comics canon with the modern realism of the movies to create a gameverse with a life of its own, where the science (and magic) makes sense and where X3: The Last Stand and X-Men Origins: Wolverine don't exist.
4) We have something for everyone. With four teams, a disaster relief program, college politics and an NGO, plus a whole world to play in, there's something of interest, no matter what your preferred genre.
5) You can: go into space; destroy a city; defeat Murderworld; be the last man standing; or destabilise a country. Trust us; if you can dream it up, it can be a plot.
6) Everyone knows your name. With a small and friendly playerbase and only two character per player, you'll never be lost in the crowd. Also, we have players scattered over five continents, so there's always someone online!
7) You can come back from evil and still have friends. Join those who have been possessed, gone evil or succumbed to the power of evil genetics!
8 )You too will know the power of the DOOMTHREAD! With email discussions that have spawned their very own nickname, you can procrastinate your work/school/chores/etc indefinitely.
9) We have the pretties! Check out the fanart! Lots of opportunity to play with Photoshop!
10) We're all as weird as you are. 'Nuff said. :)
11) Bonus Point! We're the only RPG that has its own in-house band! Check out the Harry's Hideaway gig, recorded especially for the game!

Life of Murphy
Apr. 20th, 2011 10:18 amInsomnia.
Got hit big time last night. Took forever to go to sleep (went to bed at ten, was still awake when the roomie and the pretty girl from upstairs came in), then everything kept me awake. The wind. The roomie going to the bathroom. Mysterious clanking fans. The cats. Planes passing overhead. Traffic outside. Everything. I swear at one point the pulse in my ears was too loud. It didn't help my stomach was upset from the antibiotics I've been taken for the sinus infection/bronchitis.
I wound up going out to the couch to change location and put on some music to act as white noise (it usually works if I'm having a hyper-hearing episode) and managed to drop off, at least for a few hours before my back decided enough was enough. I staggered back to bed, discovered the door hadn't latched properly and was open, closed and locked it. Then got up again a minute later as the plaintive mews of Spike at my doorway led me to realise that Angel had gone exploring and had gotten locked out. It's a good thing one can't last long without the other - I always know when Angel's gotten himself stuck somewhere, like the bathroom.
Finally back in bed, I lay awake for another ten minutes or so, cursing the world in general, then apparently dropped off. I wound up snoozing my alarm several times and was a bit late for work, but I really needed the sleep. And fortunately, things are relatively quiet here today. I've finally gotten through the bulk of the backlog (a week's worth of work was waiting for me when I came back) and one lawyer's in Whitby today. Alvin's due in, but not for a little while, so I can have my coffee and my breakfast yogurt and breathe a bit. Maybe even do some XP stuff, since I've been very quiet on that scene and I'm feeling a bit isolated.
XP Wiki: Yep, you guessed it. An update.
