Thank goodness tomorrow is court day - I'll have stuff to do that isn't revocations. Apparently I'm too bloody fast. :P
Talk to me, people. How was your weekend, what are you doing right now, wax lyrical about your favourite movie, anything. Actually, that's a thought, starting a short meme - what's your favourite movie(s) and why?

I keep getting interupted *gurrr*
'Rozencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead', it's possibly one of the weirdest films i've ever liked.
(not 'seen', but that was too weird to talk about...traumatic)
The two characters (i'm not sure if they qualify for 'main' characters) are as confused as the viewer as to whats going on, 'Hamlet' in small manegable pieces, proof that you can be weird, funny and clever at the same time!
Whats yours?
I think . . .
Wildly, wickedly, fascinatingly twisted with a plot that expects the audience to have a brain AND keep up. Saw it four times at the movies and many times on video since and still adore it shamelessly.
LotR may pass it when it is completed. There are many others which all have their good points but if you absolutely must tie me down LAC it is.

L. A. Story, because it reminds me of home and I just got a new DVD of it, with extra features. It also defines a quintessential LA life, as filtered through a silly lens. ^_^
His Girl Friday, because it defines the kind of relationship I want to have someday: full of wit, love, and laughter.

So yeah, favorite movie.

I like it because it's very funny in places, because the song writing is extremely clever (particularly the opening song) and it's almost painfully romantic, watching Sky Masterson (Brando) and Sarah Brown (Simmons) falling in love over bacardi-and-milks in Havana. Plus, the dancing in 'Luck be a Lady' is hot.
Guys and Dolls is my comfort food.

This isn't to say I never watch fluff - The Princess Bride is another all-time favourite, as is Truly Madly Deeply, which makes me cry like a baby every time I see it - but the fluff is generally the movie equivalent of popcorn to me. It's light, it's tasty, but it doesn't fully satisfy. Doesn't mean I don't like it - you should see me with popcorn! ;)
