In the quest for work-time entertainment/distraction...

I've let [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] talk me into checking out the whole [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] thing. I have to say, I'm intrigued. Even more so by the prospective character Mel and Dex came up with for me to play - teenage punk Londoner, Amanda Sefton. I've been adding to her "history" in my head, and it's coming up delightfully twisted. Now if only the moderators don't mind another new character, instead of someone picking up one of the 'homeless' ones.

Question for the comic ficcers, tho' - Amanda's powers. I seem to recall her magical knowledge came from her gypsy mother, but did she have an actual mutant power at all? And if so, was it the teleportation? Or were all her magical abilities inherently mutation-related?

Answers would help quite a lot. :)

Oh, and more Aussies need to join this thing. [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com], there's a Jean Grey/Phoenix going offering, if you're interested. ;) Think of all the wonderfully warped evil things you could do. :)

Nope, Amanda's totally human. She was a gynmast in the circus and, y'know, the whole witch-for-a-mom thing, but genetically she's normal. :)

There was a thing a while back about her powers not working on the non-organic/natural, though -- she had a lot of trouble defending herself against the Reavers because they were cyborgs . . .

*grins* And you know plenty of players in this already. :) For instance, I'll give you three guesses who's playing Doug. And the first two don't count. ;-)

Sounding off.

Frito, playing Marie-Ange Colbert (Tarot, in the comics.)

Amanda Sefton

A link. Remember, feel free to modify as it suits.

*grins* Frito, Mel and Dex managed to talk me into it.

I had all three of them talking to me about X-journal on Saturday and I've applied for one of the homeless characters. (Not sure if I'll get it, but I can always try another character if I don't.)
