Overseas flights and weird hours make Rossi an early bird
The battle with jet lag continues - I went to bed at 10.30ish last night after logging some [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] stuff with the person who plays Shinobi Shaw, and slept like the dead until sometime between 5.30 and 6.00 this morning, a full hour and a half before my usual rising for work time. My body clock was insisting it was 2.00pm and no more sleep was to be had, so I got up and showered, fooled around online a bit and then packed another box. Or rather, re-packed - I found a better box for my books and transferred them into that.
And I even made it to work early this morning. Go me. :)
I'm picking the keys for my new place up tonight after work (leaving slightly early so I can get there before they close) and my brother is coming down Friday night to help me move on Saturday. And since [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] and [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] are coming down to visit Wednesday and Thursday, there will be much packing tonight and tomorrow and Thursday. Once I get some more boxes - I'm running kind of short.
I'm looking at having an actual housewarming party this time round, probably in February so I'm settled and [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] can be there. I'm doing the unthinkable - mixing my two categories of friends, ficcers and karatekas. Keep that month free and watch for the explosions. *grins*
Oh, and yesterday someone came round to look at the place, a rather nice Irish bloke called Ian. He loved the place and was going to put an application in that day. Funny thing - he's both a cyclist and a karateka, same style as me and everything. And he had the accent. *swoons* ;)
Hmm, back to work for me, although I only have three more applications to do. A PERIN Court registrar's life is a monotonous one.
And I have a scene to write to include in the whole "Pete Wisdom and the Black Air operatives" plot that's coming up in X-Project. *grins* Obsessed, me? Of course.
