I hurt, so I guess I'm not dead yet...

The doctor at the hospital was right yesterday - I hurt a lot more today than I did yesterday. All sorts of aches and pains have been making themselves known and felt in all sorts of wonderful ways. The worst is the neck and shoulders - I have a touch of whiplash from being flung bodily onto the road. Still, it could have been a lot worse and I have that healing factor of mine, so hopefully I should only be in pain for a few days. At least the muscle parts - the grazes are truly gross to beyond. :P

Back to work today, mainly because I had stuff I needed to finish and daytime TV is enough to make me hobble into work no matter what. Still, I was bored silly - we had VIMS issues all day (that's the program we use as a database - designed by Lockheed Martin, which says a lot, I reckon) and not much work as well. And I got to tell the tale of my misadventure many, many times. Basically until I was sick of it.

But hey, people were concerned. Both at work and here. Thanks for the thoughts, guys, I do appreciate it.

A trip to the local police station for me tomorrow - I have to report the whole thing, mainly in case there's issues later on. Brief once-over of Cecil has yet to reveal any damage, which is remarkable, really, but I'll have to check the frame for any scariness. I still can't believe that front wheel isn't buckled tho' - when BRM makes a wheel, it stays made.

I've seen a lot of cyclists around here start wearing those neoprene knee braces not only for support, but for a small measure of ablative protection for a wipeout. Won't protect your knees from being banged up, but at least it'll stop some of the abrasions.

Kind of like motorcycle leathers. Won't protect you one whit in the case of a crash, but they'll ensure your corpse stays in one piece.

*HUGS* I'm glad to hear you're okay and recovering, even if the pain is worse. *ees* DO take it easy, though, and don' overtax yourself, m'kay?

And I agree. Day time TV is awful beyond all reason. >_o;

We even get Coronation Street and if that isn't bad TV then I don't know what is...
