You're nicked, Sunshine.

Or rather, the rather nice man driving the evil four wheel drive of Doom is. I spent the earlier part of my evening down at the St Kilda Police Station giving a statement about last Thursday's fun and games to a rather helpful and friendly copper (of course, it helped me being 'job', as it were - I know the lingo, and apparently make a great witness/victim), and the upshot is he wasn't impressed at all and there's at least a careless driving charge in the offing. Which is as it should be, since things could have been a lot uglier if he'd been going any faster or I'd been any less bouncy. I feel a bit bad, since he was so very nice about it, but he was careless, and if he'd been watching the road, it wouldn't have happened and I would have a lot more skin on my elbow. And no spectacular bruise on my leg - it's the size of two of my hands and black.

In other news... I hate writing job applications. With the fiery burning passion of a million suns. But, I do have someone at work coaching me with this one, and at the end I should at least have a half-way decent CV out of it, for use in many future endeavours. Just in the meantime I'm going into spasms from the un-Australian self-promotion and mind-numbing boredom that is summarising eight years of court work in a good light.

Glad you did it - striking a blow for cyclists against 4WDs of Doom everywhere! It was definitely careless driving and no matter how nice people are after the accident, if they cause it, they've got to be held accountable.

Just be thankful he wasn't talking on a mobile phone at the same time. Then you would have been in trouble *g*.
