Auscon babbling and a whole bunch of news...

As promised, the babbling. :)

Auscon this year was a blast. Four days in Brisbane, how could it be otherwise? And I always know it's been a good con when my voice is still dodgy three days later. The usual combination of talk, sun, drinking, more talk, laughing, a movie, a nightclub, and yet more talking. Oh, and pimping of various kinds - I think we've got Dyce for X-Project, provided she can get approval for a very nifty character idea. ;)

There was also this year bad plane karma (two missed planes, one delayed by thunderstorms), and the pretty much en masse decision of the Melbourne contingent that was there to move up to Brisbane at some stage.

Now for other news...

Cecil the Cycle is currently in for that long-needed service. I put it into the shop the Wednesday before Auscon, but they're having problems finding a replacement chain ring. Hopefully tomorrow.

I've heard from the Canadian Immigration Department at long last, and I seem to be into the next stage of the process. They're asking for the police and medical reports, at least, which are the least of my worries considering. *grins* Fingers crossed, eh?

Mum and Dad are back from Western Australia, and we're back to playing answering machine tennis. I'll try and call them tomorrow.

I also have From Hell on DVD now - my treat from Auscon. It's still excellent. :)

You've got the 'eh' thing down pat already. ;)

Told you...

I still sound very sexay-fied (low, smokey voice...) which will go away eventually, I'm sure.

Your plane got delayed? Why does this not surprise me.

It's a start. And about four months sooner than you had thought.

Len had some bug yesterday. I'm hoping I get nothing worse than my current bitch of a mood and lethargy, personally.
