This review of Constantine seems to sum up the very little I've seen and the much I've heard about the movie. In space they may not be able to hear you scream, but in a crowded movie theatre there's no escape. It'll be a cold day in hell before I even consider seeing this thing - it sounds like not just a bloody awful adaptation of one of the more complex characters in comics, but just a bad movie over all.

Constantine, if they were insisting on an American actor, should have been Denis Leary.

That may be one of the most beautiful sentences I've ever read.

I do. And for me the only actors who could have done a _real_ Constantine (ie _English_), are John Hannah and Guy Pearce. Guy's Aussie, but after seeing him in Memento, I thought he was perfect...
