Something vaguely approximating content...

The last couple of weeks have been spent largely not doing much but lying on the couch watching movies and surfing the Net. Ah. the joys of having a laptop. But all this inactivity (even justified with the Cold of Doom which is on its last legs at the moment) makes for a bored Rossi and a boring LJ, so today I decided to at least get some air and some sun (yes, there was sun today, lots of it) and take a walk. Which I did.

I have to say, walking with an MP3 player on makes the walking go faster. Which I didn't really need since I walk pretty quickly any way, but it did mean I covered more area than usual. Cut through High Park for a bit, which was nice, and then ended up strolling up and down Bloor Street, checking out various things. One of which was "help wanted" signs - I've figured out full time job searching now is actually not very sensible, given it's not long before Christmas and full time work will complicate heading to places etc. However, I need to do something and earning a bit of extra cash wouldn't hurt (since I'm still getting paid), so Dex came up with the idea of trying for work in Bloor Street Village until after Christmas. With the accent and the personality, that shouldn't be too much of an issue, hopefully. ;)

But yeah, there's a few places with actual signs, and I'll try some of the restaurants, see if they need extra staff. Maybe even a couple of the pubs - I know Maria at the Griffin needs bar staff, but I'd rather make that a last resort. She's a little hard to work for, by all accounts. That's my project for this coming week, tho' - at least it'll get me off the couch of zombiedom.

And now we're waiting for Johnny to come pick us up for dinner at Big Daddy's, the Cajun place. Yum.
