Ow

Somehow in the course of sleeping night before last, I've managed to put my left shoulder out. Or something - the muscles around the blade are horribly tense and painful and it's radiating up to the shoulder itself and the left side of my eck, which makes turning my head kind of an issue. And according to the ache in my jaw, I was grinding my teeth last night - not entirely unexpected. I've just sat under the shower for a good while beating it with hot water and superior Canadian water pressure, and I've taken a Tylenol, but yeah, it's not a happy joint.

*grrs*

See, if it hadn't started the day I hadn't done any gym, I'd have a reason. All I can think of is the extremely restless night's sleep I'd had that night (bloody bad dreams up the wazoo) somehow made me pull it. We went to gym yesterday when it was still a bit sore, but it was fine, even loosened up some. Now it's twice as bad. Argh.

In less whingy news... more snow. Once my hair dries I'm going to go out and go for a walk, take the obligatory photos for the folks back home. I've been promising a 'life in Canada' illustrated post for the past week or so. *wry* Maybe even get sushi for lunch since I want my comfort food.

I've also been receiving a steady stream of parcels, the stuff I sent to myself, which is kind of fun. Of course, the stuff arriving first is my summer stuff, since I sent it first, but hey, it's still parcels. ;)

Did Lise put you in an armbar in your sleep? That's what wrenched my shoulder the last time. Granted, then Mel gave me a bearhug and popped it back into place, and I was in tears for like five minutes, but hey, whatever works.

Superior Canadian water pressure?

They don't mention that in the tourist advertisements.

I need to start thinking vacation plans ...

I do that neck/shoulder straing thing a lot. It's a pain in the, er, neck. What I usually do is buy those concentrated heat pad thingies that stick on your shoulder using some adhesive and it automatically heats up. It's a portable heating pad that you can wear under your clothes!

Dude That's really not fun. I hope it's feeling better today?
