Rites of Spring
You know Spring's just around corner when I take off my leggings and cycle bare-legged. ;) Actually, the blossoming cherry trees and wattle, and the lovely warm day, might have given it away. September is right around the corner, and with it Spring, and this makes me happy. :)
Of course, in typical Aussie weather contrariness, it's been snowing in the Alps just last weekend and there's excellent skiing up in the resorts. Yes, Mel, it's been cold down here. One of these days you're gonna have to visit and I'll take you skiing. Next year, maybe - we can stay at my parents' place.
I'm in a much better mood than I have been of late. The atmosphere in the house has cleared somewhat sincc BRM and I had our last talk, and I'm feelign more positive about things. Still missing everyone more than I thought I would - like I was saying to Lise in chat tonight, all the hugs have spoiled me. *chuckles* Not to mention the bed sharing - it was the strangest feeling, sleeping alone for the first few nights after I got back.
It's one of the things I miss most. Not sex, but the feeling of having someone there beside you, to snuggle up into if you got cold or had a bad dream or just felt like a hug. That "2 AM moment", as Dex described it once. A feeling of utter trust and security.
*grins* Despite my protestations, I think I'm just a big mook, deep down.
I'll leave you right now - I'm getting hungry, and the place smells of freah bread after the batch I made today. Got me a hankering for toasted sandwiches.
