Tyranny of distance...
I have to go to work this afternoon for three hours, so I'll just post quickly and be gone.
I've been into #subcafe a couple of times since yesterday afternoon, and read the log of yesterday, and it was gratifying to see people banding together, no matter what the previous history. Way to go, guys.
I'm starting to process this. It was so big, and yet so far way, I couldn't really get a handle on it. I'll be posting something later tonight, some kind of reaction post. But for now, I'm just feeling helpless, and frustrated, that I can't do more. I saw the pictures last night on the news, adn all I could think of was being there, helping somehow - don't ask me how, but I'm sure there would be _something_ I could do. And in chat last night and today, all I could do was offer virtual hugs and empty words of comfort and try and soothe tempers frayed by stress and worry.
*growls* Damnit, we need to work a bit faster on that teleporter, guys.
