Back in the swing of things...

Ah, I love the smell of round robins in the morning...

Dex has started another RR on the THOSD board: "Reality Strikes". It's proving most amusing - the House has been hit with an attack of Reality adn is now a student dorm. For all those who are students, or wish they (still) were, go and read. I'm also allowing non-residents to post provided they check with me first - character outlines, that sort of thing (hey, I'm the moderator, I have to throw my weight around sometimes!). I like the idea of giving dinos, newbies and those in between the chance to interact on this one. There's not so much opportunity for twinking without any form of Writer-ness.

I've been very productive today, in terms of things Net, anyway. As well as posting to and compiling the House RR and posting a 'last call' meta for the Sheddites, I've done three betas (short stories, all of them) and posted one such beta to OTL for Damien Kellis (who I still think of as D^Knight, carat and all *grins*).

I've also transferred more stuff from Tosh to here, and I've been going through the mp3 sampler provided by iTunes, weeding out the stuff I don't like to make space for the stuff I do like. Speaking of which... *changes windows to wipe another boring electronic trance-type thing* There's a few hidden gems, like the three Bare Naked Ladies songs I hadn't heard before, and Amanda Ghost, who I've never heard before but quite like. *grins* Andraste has already contributed new Ben Folds Five to the collection. :)

GASP is all set - I just need to get through this week. *thinks* I don't remember what court is like... Tuesday was pretty heavy, from memory. I think there were 60-odd files. Yuck. And I know there's something part-heard that's taking precedence over the rest of the list on Wednesday, so Pete is going to shuffle everything around to accomodate it. Glad it's him and not me - the diary is a mess. So, work Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, pick up Yas Thursday night, Mel and Seraph Friday afternoon, and Andraste Friday night. Much whooness to be had by all. :)

*grins* My music taste is pretty eclectic. Here I am, bopping away to something called "L Train" by Shootzy Groove. Not normally my taste, but it's kinda catchy. ;) I have cut something like 5 hours' worth of stuff out of this list, tho' - jazz doesn't do it for me, neither do long boring electronic tracks. I have to be drunk and at a nightclub to like those. ;) And it's been a while since I've been at one of those. *pulls a face* Damn, I'm getting old and stodgy.

To finish, the Gratitude Journal!

(and you thought I'd let you off)

1) I'm grateful that BRM took himself off to Griffith this weekend and let me have a weekend to myself.

2) I was able to catch the episodes of Season 4 Buffy that I missed when it was screened free-to-air - there's been a Buffy marathon on cable this weekend, and mum and dad weren't home on Saturday so I could borrow their TV without Mum mocking me. ;) She doesn't understand the joy of Buffy.

3)I got three stories into the Age's short story comp.

4) Got a chance to catch up with various chat folks this weekend, and the new iBook (and a phone extension) let me do that outside. ;)

5) (the me thing) I write good RR posts. ;)
