Ow?
So, somehow in the process of the ten hours I spent sleeping last night (I skipped band night because of a case of Dead), I've managed to do something to the muscle along my right shoulder blade. Which is painful, to say the least - it's screwing up my neck and lower back as well and I can't lift my arm much above my shoulder level. So, I'll be working on the most ergonomic set up of my desk today, in efforts to avoid this getting any worse.
Still, I have an apple for breakfast. One of the ones we picked weekend before last that didn't get made into apple pie by the roomie. It's a good apple. I also have a stack of work, which I'm putting off just a little. Shall knuckle down in a minute.
Last weekend was Thanksgiving in Canada, and so we did the big roast dinner thing. Turkey, oodles of vegetables, stuffing (I like that they make it here without putting it in the turkey, since I can eat it then!), made by the roomie and Mindy. Since Mindy and Greg now have an apartment upstairs they're in the process of moving into, we had the benefit of two stoves, so ours was used for turkeyness and upstairs for veggies - I think I got sufficient exercise running up and down the stairs to check on things and to bring everything down when it was time.
Ten people for lunch: Johnny, Mindy, [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com], me, Lee, Brent, and Jen from London (Ontario!), [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com], [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] and [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]. We all ate until we were bursting, and then lay around in happy food comas for a while. According to the meat eaters, Dex did very well with his first ever turkey, and we have enough roasted vegetables left over to keep me in easy meals for the rest of the week, although there maybe be soup happening eventually.
And since it was Thanksgiving, a thing I am thankful for - my friends, who have been very patient with me of late in the throes of various mopes. And who look after my vegetarianess, even for a fancy meal. :)
