Not enough hours in the day...
It feels like I've spent most of tonight reading, editing and writing the Reality Strikes RR.
Actually, i have spent most of tonight on the RR, but it's time I consider well spent. I needed the brain relaxation time, after two solid days of court, a twenty minute lunch today, and about forty minutes overtime. And I have to run the place on my own tomorrow. And do a couple of hours on Friday, which I won't actually be paid for - Pete's going to give me a day off in lieu sometime after Paula gets back from her holiday - she's off to Thailand for a fortnight next week, meaning I get to work full time and pay off my credit card. Whoo!
I had a talk with BRM this afternoon about our individual plans for next year. I've pretty much decided what I want to do, but I think I'll have a talk to Dad about it as well - he's always been good for advice, and he won't put on the pressure, as Mum is prone to do.
The reason why I'm making such a big production out of this is that it's the first major life-decision I've made since the specatacular disaster of moving up here and taking on the part-time job. I lost a lot of confidence in my judgement after that one, and I want to make sure I've thought it through properly. I also want to talk to Pete about cutting some kind of deal - I stay if he promises to get me leave without pay for the second part of the year, which I'm going to have to take if I want to stay in Canada as long as I want.
Actually, it's not just Canada - if I'm in the Northen Hemisphere for a reasonable amount of time and can get work (and work permits!), I'll be able to visit some of the States as well - as much as I can, any way. So I guess I'll have to start booking couches for next year. :)
Anyhoo, I'm going to hit the hay - I'm stuffed from clerking court, and I need to be awake tomorrow if I'm in charge of Wodonga while Paula and Peter go to Corryong.
Sleep well, take care. *hugs*
