And now for something more person-ish...

Apologies for the radio silence over the last week or so - I've been partying hard over New Years, and the times I have been online I've had the attention span of a ferret on speed. However, back to work today and desperately trying to avoid actual work, so here's me, in the Livejournal!

First up... mail! [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com], thanks so much for the Amazon package of doom. *grins* I think I have all the Harry Dresden books now, and whilst I haven't had a chance to listen to the CD yet due to visitations, you can bet I will. Thanks again.

[Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com], your parcel arrived yesterday - we're at 2241, not 3241. ;) Thanks for the munchies and the card, especially the ginger candy. :) [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com], we definitely need to have lunch now since I have peach cobbler bars for you. ;)

[Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] and [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] left yesterday, [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com], [personal profile] doqz and [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] all leave today, leaving just [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] until the weekend. Woe. I have to admit, I'm looking forward to having a quiet month, if only to catch up on sleep! It's been fantastic to see everyone, and this year was one of the most fun NYE parties I've had - I even avoided the tearies despite the six cups of sangria I had!

No resolutions for me, but I do have a sort of To Do list for the year. Starting next Monday, since I really need to have a bit of a break after the past two weeks.

Financial:

* Pay off credit card (around $5000 AU)
* Pay off various personal debts (around $2500 AU)
* Create ING Canada savings account and sock away $50 a month, initially towards the personal debts, then for personal savings.

Fitness:

* Do more activity:
1) Immediate goal is to get off the subway at Keele every day after work and walk home. Distance = 1.4 km. Increase that to Dundas West (2.1 km) over winter.

2) Ice skating - find out who was interested in that and arrange outings.

3) Tai Chi - call club re classes.

4) Spring: cycle at least twice a week. Seek out local cycling clubs if necessary for motivation.

* Drink more water - aim at two 750ml bottles a day
* Drink less alcohol - system needs to detox as it is.
* Diet - cut back on the starches again. More salad and vegetables. Eat on weekends.

Personal:

* Counselling - Work on thought records more often.
* Guitar - Practice. Every day for fifteen minutes, minimum, after getting home.
* Expand social circle - see fitness. Joining some kind of sport club = good.
* Furniture - get some for room to counter temporary visitor vibe.

Immediate:

* buy cat food
* clean kitty litter weekend done by [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] due to lurghi
* clean apartment - sweep and mop floors, vacuum couch, tidy room. Find places for misc. stuff amassed over the last year. Boxes = win. Clean bathroom. weekend
* catch up with XP
* catch up with email

I like skating, and I'd hoped to make it part of my fitness thing for the new year too. If you get used skates, it can be free and close ...

Also, I like the list--the goals sound like good ones to have, and manageable! And even if you accomplish only half, you are still ahead of the game.

Huh. I have it right in my address book. Ah well, as long as it made it to y'all. I thought you and Dex might appreciate the ginger candy since, uh, you don't like sweets too much.

Oh, and I am definitely coming for St. Pat's, barring unforseen emergencies. I'm thinking F-W or so, as long as there is a couch/bed space...*looks cute*
