Ping me privately, have the sane, rational discussion, and then at the end, agree to post something to the public thread along the lines of "this has been discussed and these points have been realised, thanks!" And for subsequent people to read the whole damn thread before chiming in, so there's not that overlap thing going on where issues that have already been resolved get opened up again.
