Curse you, TTC!

Curse Toronto's public transit system for being so efficient! What looks like a foot of snow out there, and the subway is still running. Which means yes, I have to go to work. *pouts* What's the point of all this snow if you don't get a snow day?

I know! *curses the university, too, for not being obliging and closing for the day*

Time to move to DC where everything shuts down at the forecast of just an inch. Assuming it's cold enough to snow. It was almost 70 yesterday >.<

Send it here! *weeps for lack of snow*

Only if she drops some off here on the way! *also misses snow*

Fun fact about NYC snow days!

So I learned that the bad thing about snow days is that even though you don't have to go to school on them in the winter, they tack on extra days at the end of the year to make it up. Doesn't that kinda suck?

It depends though -- most schools have a number of built in snow days. If the schools close for that number or less, no extra time at the end of the year. If it goes over, that's when they start tacking it on at the end.

Welcome to my world, sweetness. And we don't even have public transport. They just expect you to make it somehow because that's what they do down here. Pfft.

You can play at lunch, no? :-)
