Theme music

I've been thinking about theme songs again, but not for myself. Lately, certain songs have been putting me in mind of various people I know online, which sounds kinda creepy and stalker-ish, but is more of an indication that I've been spending too much time in chat again. ;)

Anyway, my new Luka Bloom album (which I listened to during a luxurious hour-long bath which has rendered me all floppy and relaxed) has a couple of songs on it that made me think of certian people. So I thought I'd share one at least. If said people want mp3s of these, I'm happy to oblige upon request. Oh, and that reminds me, Raph, I still need to get "Tale of Two Cities" to you, since it bounced.

This one put me in mind of Staffie and Dycey.

Love Is A Place I Dream Of.

Love is a place I dream of
A face that never leaves my mind
Sorrow is over my shoulder
But it's over.

Someday I will cross the world for you
No matter how far
Just to be there.
Someday I will hold you in my arms
So special you are.
Wait and see, my love, set you free.

Live is a place I dream of
I hear you cry so far away
There is a bridge I'm building
Take me to the one I love someday

Someday I will cross the world for you
No matter how far
Just to be there.
Someday I will hold you in my arms
So special you are.
Wait and see, my love, set you free.

I'm coming home, child.

*sighs* And in Luka's wonderful Irish voice, it's heavenly.

In less sappy news, well, today was just another day at the office. Lots of Family Law matters, for some reason, but we managed to fob the worst one off onto the Family Court, where it belongs. An inquest, which I couldn't clerk for as I'm not trained in the ways of the Coroner's Court, but which gave me a welcome break from court. Especially since we've got court again tomorrow. And Friday. Except I don't work Fridays. *mwahahahas*

Pete mentioned the back pay for out enterprise agreements (from June, IIRC) should be coming through before Christmas. Which would be great. I'm still a tad sketchy on the details, but it looks like we're getting a five percent pay rise, which is a real boost. Considering NSW clerks get twice as much for the same work, it's about bloody time, is all I can say.

Oh, and I'm feelilng particularly proud of myself - I had two large bottles of water today (about a litre and a half, half a litre short of the 2 litre aim), which explains why I feel a lot better today than i did yesterday. Yesterday I got home and crashed out on the bed, for about three hours, and still felt like crap. Sick to the stomach kinda crap, which meant I skipped dinner with no qualms. But today I'm feeling much better, even after the booby-trapped lunch: tell me, what kind of person puts ham in a zucchini slice? I didn't even notice until I was back at work and eating, and by then there wasn't any time to get anything else, so I'm expecting some unpleasantness in the morning - it's been so long since I ate meat in any quantity I can't digest the stuff readily now, and so it gives me stomach ache. Yay. Maybe another few glasses of water before bed will flush it out of my system.

And now I've revolted you all with details of my digestive system, I think I shall bid you all good night. No progress on any fics since Monday, mainly because work's been busy and the mundanties of that have crowded anything interesting out of my head.

Ooh, before I forget! Another mailbox surprise! This time from Threnny, a cute little card, just the thing to perk me up after work. It's nice to know people appreciate you. *hugs the Threnny* Thanks mate, that made my evening. :)
