Big-noting yourself.
I've come to the conclusion that I really hate, loathe and detest doing job applications, even when I'm perfect for the job I'm applying for. Why? Because it's so damn hard writing about myself in that ultra-confident, ultra-positive light that's required. Maybe next time I should take up Shai's offer and send her my resume and the application and let her do it. It's just so... ugh.
The job's a VPS-3 position being offered in my old alma mater of Heidelberg, the court I started at in 1996 as a raw trainee. The pay starts at $39,000, which would allow me to still save up for the overseas trip next year and live in Melbourne. I'm not pinning hopes on this one - it would be great if I could get it, but no big problem if I don't - seeing how I don't even know when the job starts. Heidelberg is being renovated at the moment and I don't know when it's going to be finished. And It might get tricky getting leave without pay six months into a 12 month position.
It's been a big day for job applications - BRM's been busy applying for teaching jobs. Using my computer to do it, but if it means a resolution to things, then that's a sacrifice I'm happy to make. ;)
