Hurricane Jane

It's a very good thing I came in today after a day off yesterday due to my back seizing up and not letting me sleep terribly well. Not only did I have the usual post day off Pile o' Crap that no-one put me apparently can deal with, Jane changed her office day at the last minute due to a funeral she's attending and I had to scramble and get her files together and her expenses inputted before she came in. Which means I had to skip my French class today, although I already have the work we covered so I won't fall behind too much.

It's been actually not a bad day. My brain has decided to return from Woe-Is-Me-Ville and I've been productive in a variety of areas. Such as:

WHO HAS TWO THUMBS AND SCORED EXCELLENT FOUL-LINE SEATS FOR THE JAYS OPENING GAME?

*glees* We thought we were going to have to do the 500s, which aren't bad seats, just rather far away from the action and we'd decided we were going to treat ourselves. Instead, when I searched for "best available" seats on the 12th (having triple-checked the date, since I'm paranoid that way), I got offered 100s near the 3rd base foul line. So happy. Although I may need to wear a helmet since it's prime foul ball territory and I have a tendency to attract things like bats and balls with my head.

And because my tax return came in, I feel fine about spending $56 on a baseball game ticket (which, actually, is pretty bloody good for where we are!). Most of that $500 is going on the credit card, but it's nice to have a little bit for myself.

Must get self a baseball icon before the season starts. Preferably of John MacDonald or Travis Snider, who I think is adorable in that rosy-cheeked country farm boy (who is also built like a brick sh*thouse) way.

If I knew anything about baseball I'm sure I'd be extremely excited for you! \o/
