Sundays...

... are god days for being lazy. And limp. And slightly woozy. Yep, the bug has moved in and decided to make things difficult. I woke up at 9.30 this morning (only because the bread maker's alarm went off and BRM was doing the dishes, with the usual clanging and banging), except it was really 8.30, since I'd forgoten to turn the clock back last night. Seven months of daylight saving over and done with - we don't normally get that much, but they brought it on early for the Olympics. So I can start taking my lights to work again.

BRM's been good - he brought me a cup of tea and a glass of juice and a Codral in bed this morning, and has just made me some coffee. Fresh ground, fresh brewed and everything. He's out the back, finishing the carving on the bookcase - I don't remember the Latin, but it means, "Books are a pleasure at home and no hinderance abroad". Could be Doc Benway's slogan. *grins* I'm feeling a bit pathetic, not doing anything but sit here, but honestly I don't have the energy. Work is going to be fun on Monday - not.

Oh yeah, I keep forgetting - Ann Latimer has drawn the most adorable chibis for me. A Keeper one and an AOA Death Pixie one. I'd use it here as my piccie, only I don't know how to tweak around the 40K limit. Any suggestions from the techonologically superior? I think they went through to Ki okay - she's mentioned chibis in her journal.

It's such a downer to not get that little green arrow on my inbox - no new messages for me. Of course, there's a bunch of old ones I need to answer. Maube later, when I can string more than two thoughts together coherantly. :) I was trying to finish "Suffer" last night - had it all planned out in my head - but it got lost in the translation. I'll have another go this week. I really want to finish that now, so I can go on with something else. I'm great at beginning several stories at once, but I can only work consistently on one at a time. Must be that methodical mind I'm supposed to have. :P

I had another fanficcer dream last night; there was a bunch of us in some sort of gym, and Lynx and I were comparing spinning kicks. :) Id' better get my butt back to training, or she will have me for breakfast when we finally do catch up with each other. Speedy Paul adn Doc Benway were also there, doing stuff on some computers in the corner. I scared the daylights out of Benway by pouncing on him. *snickers* I swear, I need to get out more.

Re-sizing...

All it takes is a graphics program and someone with some time on their hands. =) Feel free to throw it my way, and I'll resize it for you.

Ann's chibis are just the cutest things... =)

Here's a note for you, Ros.

Just dropping a line before I head to the stews. Nothing like a week with no showers to make one long for home. It shall sucketh mightily, but not so much as the last time. I'm actually kinda looking forward to it. Because it could be worse.

They're actually looking for people to send to Nicaragua. I'd really like to go, but they want people with more experience. So I'm going to have to bug the hell out of my superiors to send me TDA side, where they do the real work, for some practice.

I *really* want to go to Thailand, but the next mission is scheduled for next YEAR. Ah, me. I can hold out. *sniff*

Wonder what airfare from Thailand to Australia is . . .

Anyhow, wish me luck in the procceeding endeavours. And pray I get a shower between now and Friday.

Shai!
