Soul-weary...
It's strange how exhausting demanding people can be. I've had a rough couple of court days - huge lists, demanding magistrates (even my beloved Mr Hardy was getting on my nerves by the end of the day), and not enough hours in the day to cover the huge amount of work that needed doing.
It's strange how when you're physically tired the rest of you gets tired too. I'm in one of those emotional dips in the rollercoaster of my life - a hard day is not helped by realising when you get back to your dark, empty house and there's no mail in the box, no messages on the phone and no email on your computer, how tenuous your relationships can be. Not even a nice long soak (uninterrupted by calls this time, mainly because the phone was in the bathroom with me!) with my bubble bath did very much. So I'm sitting here and thinking I'll just go to bed, because when I'm in this kind of mood, there's not much to be done about it but sleep it off. Write it off to that female monthly insanity and be done with it.
Night all.

Anyhoo, tried calling you tonight, but kept getting your answering machine. Sooo, you're either online, or you're on another phone call. (Damn, someone got in before me. :) )

*grins* My ears are flat. ;)›

Why am I explaining all this? Because I wanted to explain why I haven't ever emailed you at work. (Yes, I know, you could get the email the next day, but you'd probably get one sent to your regular addy sooner.) This is also why I haven't IM'd you there - Do you even have IM there? Probably not, making this a wasted sentence. *g*
But the reason I'm making this comment (yes, there is a reason! :p) is that I'm writing a little ficlet just for you, to entertain you at work.
Don't you feel special? ^_^
Re: *idly pokes LJ*
No, I don't have AIM at work, nor access to chat. Technically I'm not even supposed to use the Net for non-work purposes, but at this point in time, I don't really care. ;) And my work email has wacky delays on it, being a strange internal server. So it doesn't really matter when email is sent. I love getting it anytime. :) And surprises are even better.
Ficlet for me? *chees*
