Well, that's it, then

Looks like no karate for me tonight - I've got an anti-war rally to go to. Melbourne Maelstrom, not sure how easy it's going to be to find each other in the masses; I'll be on the corner of Lonsdale and Swanston at five to five. Look for the bike and the brightly coloured rain jacket.

I know in my heart that protests like this one won't do much good now. But I have to do something to show I don't support this war.

NOT IN MY NAME

You're upset? YOU don't have to live here and be governed by that little... *muffled scream* I can understand why people want Saddam gone, and considering this has been going on for twelve years or so, I can even understand why people might be getting impatient and anxious to get it over with. I halfway hope somebody just shoots the SOB.

But, dear God! Must we be led by HIM?! *cries*

Personally, I'm not entirely sure Bush IS making his own decisions - not without PLENTY of 'advice', anyway. At least there should now be next to NO chance he'll be re-elected. (And from what you've said, neither will your P.M.)

It's those damned speeches he keeps making that REALLY irritate me. Have you listened to them? I've been trying not to, but from what I've caught, he seems to think the people of Iraq should be grateful that they're being invaded. And now this business about raiding Iraqi treasuries to repossess the "blood money" contined therein.

I've got to give them credit: the clowns up in D.C. are certainly getting creative.

Ack. I didn't catch your post before I left. I must have walked right past you, too.

Cheer for me tonight, huh? Because I'm not feeling well enough to get there.
