Well, that's it, then
Looks like no karate for me tonight - I've got an anti-war rally to go to. Melbourne Maelstrom, not sure how easy it's going to be to find each other in the masses; I'll be on the corner of Lonsdale and Swanston at five to five. Look for the bike and the brightly coloured rain jacket.
I know in my heart that protests like this one won't do much good now. But I have to do something to show I don't support this war.

But, dear God! Must we be led by HIM?! *cries*

No, I don't have to live there and be governed by Bush. I have to live here and be governed by his damned sock puppet. At least Bush has the dubious point that he's making his own decisions - our Prime Minister is following along blindly with whatever Bush says. And believe me, that leaves a bad taste in my mouth, and an intense desire to find a country that stands on its own feet.
Anyway, we're not the real victims in this. The real victims are the Iraqi people currently hiding in their cellars, because they committed the crime of having a despot as a leader. And that's plenty reason for anyone to be upset.
Re:
It's those damned speeches he keeps making that REALLY irritate me. Have you listened to them? I've been trying not to, but from what I've caught, he seems to think the people of Iraq should be grateful that they're being invaded. And now this business about raiding Iraqi treasuries to repossess the "blood money" contined therein.
I've got to give them credit: the clowns up in D.C. are certainly getting creative.

Cheer for me tonight, huh? Because I'm not feeling well enough to get there.
