The healing power of hot water... and little pink pills

So, tonight I was able to eat a decent meal without feeling either nauseous or getting stomach ache. It looks like the tablets the doctor gave me are doing their thing, and the healing factor is doing the rest. I'm still exhausted tho'. And my neck and shoulders are killing me, resulting in one of those funfunfun tension headaches, so I went through the effort of filling the bath (kettle and every saucepan I own being called into service) and soaked for about an hour whilst reading Gaiman's short story collection Smoke and Mirrors again. Man, I wish I could write like that consistently - I can manage small bursts when I'm writing Gaiman-related fanfic, but can't come up with the sustained ideas.

Speaking of Gaiman, I went down to Minotaur and bought the first issue of 1602. Great stuff, and he's used the Marvelverse and its denizens in an intriguing way - I can't wait for the next issue next month. Speaking of exchanging things, I'm off to Brisbane weekend after next, so if any of the Melbourne crew has stuff for Mel, you'll need to get it to me before Thursday after next (ie, not tomorrow, next week).

Okay, off to bed now - I'm still wrecked. Hopefully I'll shake this bone-weariness off as I start eating again...

Glad to hear your feeling better =)

I bought 1602, not sure what to make of it yet.
The X characters were slightly anoying, although I liked the others.
Art is great, have you read Origin (love Andy Kubert's style)?

Origin? No, unfortunately I haven't seen that one - my comic reading tends to be the occasional splurge on TPBs and what I can beg, borrow or um, borrow for a long time. ;)

I think its out as a TPB, but it wasn't writen by Gaiman and it is about "wolverines origin" which almost turned me off but it was a good story on its own and Kubert's work just drags me in.

I'm glad to hear that you can eat again. Um, why hot water not coming out of tap?

Hot water does come out of tap, only it's actually lukewarm, not hot, and I can't get it warm enough to lie in the bath for an hour. Hence the kettle and the pots on the stove. The hot water heater broke down a couple of months ago and this is as good as it'll get. Bastards. :(
