Carpe diem

Remember about three weeks ago I was all excited because I'd gotten a phone number from a guy in a bar? And how I'd called him and then didn't hear anything else? Well, what with the whole Message Bank Mystery (which hopefully was fixed today - now all I need is someone to test it by calling when I'm not home or online), I figured that maybe here was another victim. And I still had his number on me, thank all the gods of not throwing things away. So I called him tonight, foggy voice and all.

We're going out this Saturday night, since he doesn't have to work tomorrow. Which works really well, since I can do the hostel thing during the day and not waste any more valuable time. Time that's rapidly running out.

Of course, I would have my period this week, but for once I'm not intending on ending up horizontal on the first date. I'm going to play this one far more sensibly.

But still, go me! I did one of the things I have the most fear of, cold calling someone that might not actually remember me, and it worked! *does the happy dance* And not only did he remember me, he was trying really hard to get in touch, to the point he was going to call work and get me that way (not so successfully either, what with the three Jos we have there).

So, take that, PMT-induced ego slump!

*does the happy dance with you*

That's great. Cold calling is always a risky proposition, but I'm glad you did it. Now here's hoping you have a better sense of will than I do (which I know you do) and can keep up on your promise not to end up horizontal.
