I Heart Amanda Sichter

Apart from the whole "Dark Goddess of Writing" thing, and the fact she's into as much sporty and healthy stuff as I am and thus doesn't roll her eyes or drag me away when I pause to look in bike shop windows or talk about rock climbing, she gave me a copy of Crying In Public Places' new CD Jump. And it's got to be one of the best CDs to listen to when you're wondering what the point of a lot of stuff is. I've got it on repeat with my headphones on, and I have yet to get sick of it.

Besides, the radio choice in this particular section of revocations is a) annoying loud and b) really bad.

PS: Amanda, if you want it, I have the whole Gus and Frank album - I can't remember if you have it or only had a couple of songs. There's a lovely one about how they love someone more than chocolate. :)

I saw Gus and Frank at a Whitlams gig once. They were pretty funny. :)

you know I heart you back, so that's of the good *g*. And yes - Jump is so magically, wonderfully, positively life-affirmingly fantastic that there just aren't words for it.

And I have Confessions of a Rooftop Killer in its entirety (like I could resist!). I love the Umbrella Song (another of those life-affirmy ones).

Oh, and I'm going rock climbing tomorrow with some more people I've infected with the madness *g*.
