The gig is up!

Got my computer back today and she's working perfectly. Offending disk has been discarded to avoid repeat performances - I'll have to try and see if I can't load Photoshop for Mac from [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]'s disk instead. Also got the news today that my gig at Caroline Gibson and Barnes is ending this Friday. Which is actually not a bad thing - I've been getting bored and frustrated with the simplistic repetitive work of filing, Rebecca gets up my nose something awful and I'm ready for something new. I'll be emailing my agencies and letting them know I'm back in the pool, so to speak, and I've just paid rent, so I should be all right for a week or so. The other good thing is I don't need to book time off for that medical appointment now. *grins* I'll miss the money, tho'. And I've been consigned to the Room of Doom for the remaining time. I was in there this afternoon, trying to make sense of the filing cabinets. Gah. And thank God it's finally raining, which means the humidity's broken. Still as hot as hades in here, tho'. :P

*sends her some of the 'omg cold!' happening in Australia currently.* That should take care of the pesky humidity. Admittedly, it's the one thing I seriously dislike about how other places handle summer. Least in Sydney it's a dry heat, no matter how hot it gets.
