Thanksgiving

Wow, it's times like this I realise how many Americans I have on my friendslist. *watches a tumble weed blow by* Happy Thanksgiving, guys.

I don't wanna do filing. *whines*

OHMYGOD, GUESS WHAT?!

(what?)

Nothing. I got nothing. I just felt like jumping on you. Why's it so quiet? We had turkey last night, but it was all salty and gross. Stupid American turkey.

Then you chose the wrong country to immigrate too.

So would I... but that's just because I am less resistant to tryptophane than the average person.

At least your tumbleweed wasn't on fire.

Yesterday when Mike was burning the trash, he decided to be helpful and burn up a few of the tumbleweeds that have been lounging about in the way since last week's windstorm. One fell out of the trash can and set the lawn on fire....

(Yes, he got it put out again. But, excitement!)

Thanks for the Thanksgiving wish!

Every time thanksgiving comes around I get a craving for roast chicken.

I think it's the turkey association. But I don't like turkey that much.

tumblewed is an invasive plant called salsola

Is that an Aussie expression?- In New Mexico it takes over where native grasses should grow. Once there were huge plains of grass here. The Army cut it down around 1860-s - around the time of the US Civil War bailed it for their horses at a fort in Kansas. It came from the plains of Russia. ---- I think I have your blog because of David Bridie - which I use to as a mood alter as needed.
