Social-Fu, part 2

So, after my jam-packed week, I have... another jam-packed week! Consider this my whole PSA regarding me being around or not.

Monday - doctor's for a prescription, then I have the apartment to myself for the evening, which means catching up on any [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] logging I want to get done before Christmas.

Tuesday - dinner with the roomie's family, then band night. Don't expect to see me online after 5 pm.

Wednesday - roast beast at our place. Testing out of [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]'s Yorkshire pudding recipe.

Thursday - pay day and the remaining Christmas shopping.

Friday - tentative drinks with a friend, depending if he gets back to me. Yes, I finally got off my butt and asked, mainly because I'm sick of feeling lonely and realising I haven't done squat to change that. Although the greater social life attempts will happen once Christmas/New Year's is done. Since yeah, being social is easier with an apartment full of people. *wry*

Christmas plans are firmed up, which is good:

Christmas Eve - party at Sandy's.

Christmas Day - morning at [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]'s place with the presents and the stockings, then lunch/dinner at our place.

Boxing Day - going to Hamilton for the roomie's family thing, and then coming back with Lee to hear Johnny play.

I also get paid for Christmas and Boxing Days, according to the slip of paper in my payslip this week. Yay.

And finally... booked tickets for [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]'s birthday bash in Kansas, asked for leave today. Got a really good deal, even, so yeah, shall definitely be there and not worrying myself into an ulcer about money.

I once was waiting for a plane back to Australia and the American I was chatting to to pass the time was completely shocked that I was from Australia. She'd figured I was from California.

I figure the accent morphing is my mutant power.
