Oh the wind and the ice...

Toronto is in the grip of a pretty major ice storm right now - driving snow, high winds, ice rattling against the windows... yep, winter is back with a vengeance. I did, however, make it home okay, despite some concerns about the trains being cancelled.

Today has been... a very long day. In all terms of the word. I'll be glad when the week's over. Counselling tomorrow. The counsellor may be cranky at me, given the backsliding I've been doing this week.

Counsellors? Do not get cranky at you. They help you realise what occured to promote the backsliding, point out ways to prevent it in the future, and move on.

At least, the good ones.

Sillygoose. *hugs* We had a blizzard today! I wanted to take pictures (for you) but. That would have involved going outside in it. And my kitties were all, "Um, hullo? We are warm and purring, out there is cold and wet."

I don't see it so much as backsliding, as a kind of spiral outward, away from the bad. And on the spiral, sometimes I pass what feels like the same low over and over, but it's really a different low, each a little further away from the pit than the one before. This is life; it's really hard to do it wrong.

Also, it is wild out there. The wind has been shaking the windows all day and I swear it was snowing upward half the day.

*hugs tight* Considering how hard this week has been for you, the fact that you've managed to be there for me is staggering. We'll both get through the hard times, we just need to keep going to the therapy and doing our best not to bash ourselves up about the things we backslide on.
