Who's got lurghi? I do!

So, still voiceless, and I've been running a temperature and coughing my guts out most of the night. And considering I'm getting to the coughing up crap stage, this is a little more than overstraining my vocal cords. *sighs* Day off today, again, because apparently I'm not capable of working a full week these days. Eventually they're going to get sick of me and fire my ass, I'm sure of it.

Still no word on the interview for the job I applied for two weeks ago now. Oh, I forgot to mention it? Yeah, two positions came up where I work, essentially the job I'm doing as a temp atm. I put in my resume and a covering letter and Jane's acting as referee for me and if I get an interview I should get the year-long proper contract. However, still waiting to hear on the interview thing. Knowing my luck, it'll be for early next week and my voice will still be screwed.

A day of tea and malingering in bed today, I think. [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] is staying with us, which is cool, since she doesn't need me to talk to her much and we ca re-watchAngel season 5 all day if we want. But it still doesn't make up for another day of lost pay. :(

I used to have an immune system. This is getting bloody ridiculous.

go to the doctor? Considering you've recently been around someone with strep throat (and Kos was with me the entire time, so she is potentially a carrier) it might not be a bad idea to get checked out earlier rather than later.

*snug* but get well soon! And I really hope it's not serious.

Being sick sucks.

Apparently your Aussie-tuned immune system just can't get the hang of the Canadian germs.

But if you ask me, it was the Finn who infected you.

Gotta watch out for those Finns. Can't trust 'em one whit. :)

(Fondest memory of NY: Trapping the Finn between the half-Swede and the Russkie. :)

I'm here at work and things are vaguely slow. If you feel creative, ping me.

Oh, that sounds nasty. Just rest, darlin', and it'll hopefully end soon.

Good luck with the interview! I'm sure they'll understand if your voice is off, especially if you've been working in a different department there and they can talk with your boss.

When I was in LA for a couple of years, I got a job despite having gone to the interview 1-2 days after I had just gotten over a horrible, no good, full-body, dermatologic & respiratory reaction to poison oak and agave.

You may also feel free to reference that if they skip out on giving you said job -- or if they "get sick of you", which I highly doubt, but I figured I'd throw in for measure -- they will have a very tall redhead in pointy shoes to deal with.

And not in the Fun Way.

Get better, sweetie.
