A Tale of Shoes
So, on my way to work today, and some moron steps on the back of my sandal as I'm walking, causing me to rip out the strap that holds it onto my foot.
Not the most auspicious start to the day.
Luckily, however, a new shoe repair place had opened about a month ago on the route to work, so I hobbled my way there and asked the guy if he could fix it. I figured I could barefoot it to work and come back and collect my shoes at lunchtime. Miracle of miracles, he not only could fix it, he did it in ten minutes while I waited, and it only cost me $5. *happy dances*
Mailing stuff should happen tomorrow. If people want to contribute to postage, I wouldn't say no, especially given the roomie's paid two bar tabs and bought groceries this week. Easiest method is Paypal to wytchbrat(at)gmail(dot)com
Tonight I take the kits to the vet for shots. Thanks to the lovely Mindy, I have a cat carrier, which they're already playing in as the world's best kitty house. *snickers* Hope they still like it as much when they're locked in and on the subway. ;)

Randomly, I'm working on the slopers for my semester patterns and depending on how they sew up, you may have three new pieces to add to your wardrobe by the end of the year.
(Our fashion dummies only go up to a size fashion 12, which is teenytiny, but I may be able to get away with making large seams, in whichcase, possible fitting, but if it STILL wouldn't fit, I can take YOUR measurements and then just sew to your size on one of the 8's or 6's. Whew. That was longwinded.)

AND you don't have to take any of them. If you hate them or they don't fit -- it's no worries, I'll just drop them off by charity or keep holding on to it -- in case. I even have some blazers that could work if you had new buttons or a friend who's handy with a needle to make some darts -- and I think you do!
Plus what Aisy said.
