Snow!

White stuff, falling from the sky! *glees* We haven't had a lot of that lately, and I definitely prefer snow to the -25 C we had yesterday. Yes, it's warmer when it snows, go figure.

I've been anticipating the warm front so we could get some decent snow. We got ickle baby snows! Mebbe a whole inch!

That's not that surprising. I've heard of "It's too cold to snow." before..

alas, I think our snow from Saturday finally melted. took a while, it wanted to linger.

It's supposed to warm up to above freezing and rain tonight. So far, it's at 34F and holding so appearantly "above freezing" is more a technicality than an actuality.

I also much prefer it when it snows... it seems much less gray then. So I totally know what you mean. It makes it almost festive!

AND! It actually says "squalls" on our forecast for this week. I love that word but hate what it actually is.

It was snowing when I woke up, but gently, and now we have GIANT FLAKES OF DOOM!

I was planning on wearing a skirt and boots today too. Which... I will still do, but the black boots and skirt which are warmer except I was saving those for a party I'm going to.

Oh well, guess I have to buy a new dress. Life is hard, woe.

(Okay, I totally had a backup outfit, but shh!)

This part of Canada gets dry past -15C, meaning no moisture in the air. Also why skin cracks so horribly and lungs can "catch" when breathing in the cold air. The closer to 0C, the more snow you'll get.

Which is why I don't care if the temperature wants to hover at -10C. Best of both worlds - no snow to shovel and not too cold to be outside. :)
