Thank god for that...

Payday finally arrived. Yay! I am now solvent and able to buy groceries and pay my Dexcon fee. And not a moment too soon, since food was a bit on the skimpy side yesterday.

Also, as much as I love my meds for the stablising effect they have on my brainmeats, I'm not fond of the dreams. Last night's effort about being a runaway teenager taken in by a sociopathic serial killer in the mode of Dexter, as a test for his two young serial-killers-in-training was a little more epic than is good for extended rest. *wry*

Yay money!

(Seriously, anyone who says money can't buy happiness has never been poor/in debt.)

Dude, I'm totally with you on the groceries. Not on the payday, woefully, but I finally got more fishsticks and hot dogs (yeah. I'm that poor right now), and some chicken, and it's like the BEST THING EVER not to have soup all the time.

Gerg and I are waiting on an $1,800 check from the university for work that he did a month ago. :-O

Oh, are you guys up for the fun, costume game on the 23rd?

Yay money! And also, creepy dreams. I had those for a few nights after I read the Dexter novels (which are fabulous btw - have you read them? So amazing).

They're good? Awesome. I really enjoyed the idea of the show, but not enough to watch them and books are so much more YES for me right now.

Especially if they're under 500 pages. All my 'to reads' are about 1000 and my attention span is not with the able right now. I'm looking at you 'London'/'Count of Monte Cristo'/'Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell'.

Gleeee!!

(this means yes)

I liked the books a lot more than the TV show - the show is good, but for me it stretched the conceit too far. It's easier to believe something for 300 pages than for 25 episodes. Whereas the books, through superior writing and incredible prose, make it work, and the characters are just a little better defined (IMO). But I'm always inclined to like the books more, so. :)

Yay monies! If everyone is exhausted, though, I would like to cook for you kids one of these nights. I have a clam pasta that I've been holding onto for emergencies; it solves everything.

Seriously. World peace has nothing on it.
