Ooh... this is quite interesting. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. I'll bet, though, that the reception from almost everyone else out there (as was mine) is that this is an Australian version of Red Dawn.
Awesome! It's good to have someone pointing out that no, it's not a Red Dawn ripoff. Unless John Marsden ripped off the original movie idea for his books first. ;)
one small correction - it's 7 books, not 17. I would have loved that many, but the story had to end sometime!
