Performance Anxiety

So, somewhere along the line, my last post about the DDoS attacks went viral. My inbox was full of pingback messages today, from people who had boosted the signal, and I'm up to 13 comment pages of pingbacks on the post itself.

Cue my o.O face.

Of course, now the pressure is on to be witty and relevant and all the rest. And, also of course, all I can think of is today is the last day of Freakangels, my brain is kind of mush from X-Project Wiki updating and my cats were really cute this morning.

Uh, hi?

One of my other friends on LJ boosted the signal and I did a double-take when I saw she was boosting something you'd written, mostly because my friends don't usually intermingle. *amused* Congrats on the really cute cats, though. *muah*

Same thing happened to me. Two of my non-comic friends were boosting.

I'm just lazy, so that's why no pingback from me.

*grins* Well, and it's a good/valid point you made, so it makes sense that more people would boost the signal. :D It really was just hilarious when my friend I've known for almost ten years boosted your signal, since she's not in X-Men fandom at all anymore. <3.

Yes, same here. It took me a good five minutes to figure it out, too.

Hi back at you; I'm one of those who boosted the signal, because I couldn't agree more with what you said. And you say you have cute cats? What a coincidence - I do, too!

*amused*

Please tell me that you're aware that C. E. Murphy, she of the awesome Walker Papers that we're so terribly fond of, was one of the boosters as of this morning?

*giggles* I figured that might be the case. ;) But I scrolled down my friendslist this morning and there it was!

So did Poppy Z Brite, one of the authors I follow. I was like Wait WTF when I saw it.

Oh, Poppy Z. Brite - nice. I never did finish all her books. Go Rossi!

To be fair, the cats are really cute, folks, so you should keep watching.

The Glee fandom picked it up from me too... :D
