Adventures in blood donation...

Okay, chalk up another 'no donating' situation. No donating on days over 30 degrees Celsius, since I don't enjoy the rapid drop in blood pressure and the resulting rush to turn me upside down before I pass out. Not to mention the waste of a donation day. :P Yep, spent about an hour longer at the Blood Bank than I should have, owing to that little drama, and there's no way in hell I'll be cycling home tonight, given I'm still on the woozy side and my arm hurts when I try and bear weight on it.

*sighs* Damn, I hate it when that happens. Okay, not in the mornings, no hot days...

Whereas I did the donatey thing today (see, yet more proof of our mind-melded twin thing) and sailed through it happily, gave my 470ml in a close to personal record of 8 minutes 10 seconds, scoffed enormous amounts of food, did hours of work and then did an hour and a half dragonboating, the only concession to my self-inflicted wound being a refusal to be the stroke.

The only vaguely worrying thing was that my blood pressure was only 100/60 but I didn't even get woozy, so I'm just going with the fact that I was really relaxed.

I seem to have a really weird, really relaxed, pretty indestructible approach to blood donating. Unfortunately, I have no idea how to pass the approach on, so I'll just do my usual cheer to say, "go you - donate blood - yay! for Deathpixie".
