Adventures in blood donation...
Jan. 11th, 2005 04:40 pmOkay, chalk up another 'no donating' situation. No donating on days over 30 degrees Celsius, since I don't enjoy the rapid drop in blood pressure and the resulting rush to turn me upside down before I pass out. Not to mention the waste of a donation day. :P Yep, spent about an hour longer at the Blood Bank than I should have, owing to that little drama, and there's no way in hell I'll be cycling home tonight, given I'm still on the woozy side and my arm hurts when I try and bear weight on it.
*sighs* Damn, I hate it when that happens. Okay, not in the mornings, no hot days...

Date: 2005-01-11 01:57 am (UTC)The only vaguely worrying thing was that my blood pressure was only 100/60 but I didn't even get woozy, so I'm just going with the fact that I was really relaxed.
I seem to have a really weird, really relaxed, pretty indestructible approach to blood donating. Unfortunately, I have no idea how to pass the approach on, so I'll just do my usual cheer to say, "go you - donate blood - yay! for Deathpixie".
