XP: Appreciate what you have

So, for various reasons I was poking around old [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] discussions on game direction, which led to me reading old posts by various people and I realised something.

Even though discussions can still get frustrating sometimes and there are misunderstandings, there is no-where near the kind of venomous vitriol and backstabbing that there used to be.

(Or I'm just not on those filters... I kid, I kid)

Any way, for all that frustration sometimes, things are a gazillion times better than the 'old' days. And I'm thankful to the current players for that, for their sanity, their ability to be adult about things and their desire to be constructive.

So, thanks, guys.

(now to wash my brain out with a bucket of bleach!)

Huh.

Good to know.

Backreading feedback threads definitely was a help to me in kind of pulling out of anxiety land this past week. <3 So yeah.

It's sort of nice that even when we have those big discussions that we don't have people going off in a huff or deciding that just because there's disagreement that people -must- be causing drama and drinking the haterade.

It's why I rarely participated in those discussions. It just wasn't worth the stress and whatnot.

Not that I participate in them a TON now, but that's more because I wander off and come back to the threads being on another topic or whatever :P I at least GIVE my opinions now.

That's part of why I came back to XP too, I was assured that the discussions were just that, discussions. It's so nice, I love it!!
