Good thing: My hair looks fantastic today. And has done for a week now.

Bad thing: Still a bit nauseous. Stupid Fred.

Aww. I heard that while blonde is the abscence of colour, red is ALL COLOUR, so it makes sense that it fades super quick. Do you wash your hair every day? I had to go to washing mine every other, but that was more because my hair is THICK and UNRULY and FLUFFY. But it helped the red at the same time and my hair dye is in the mail.

I have to wash my hair every day, otherwise it's greasy and limp and gross by the end of the day, thus the fading for me. Ah well. Maybe I can do it again this weekend?

*nod* Makes sense, R's hair is the same way. One thing I did find is that it helped right after I dyed my hair to not wash it for three days: colour on Monday, wash on Thursday. I know that's super tough, with what you just said re: grease, but if you plan it in advance and take advantage of pigtails, talcum powder and hats?

I was washing with just condtioner every second day after I did it, since the dye was a bit harsh?

But yeah, three days? *shudders* I've done that before when I've gone hiking, and there's much ick and cranky. Not washing my hair makes my face feel dirty, if that makes sense?

It makes total sense to me. I have to wash my hair every day otherwise I feel GROSS. I can manage to go one day without shaving if I'm lounging around, but anything past that makes me feel disgusting too.

It's being fine - roomie said last night to let Rach know, and I'm sure he'd put up with seeing you, somehow. ;) And like I said, not sure how long we have the Benway for - I think it's just for the night, since he's driving back to the far eastern place for work on Monday.

Yeah, that's pretty much it. And I should probably get the colour retention stuff as well. They need to make anti-frizz colour hold shampoo, I swear. That way I'll get everything I need!

but see, they want you spend lots ofmoney, and if they did that, then you wouldn't spend as much. I know there's some tricks to keep the color longer, but I just don't know them. Adding splenda to the dye is when you're bleaching and you don't want chemical burns.

Bastards. :P Ah well, I shall just dye every couple of months. It's at least a nice rich-looking brown right now, instead of the washed-out blonde-ish brown it was before. And the cut is still good and looks fantastic and the stylist taught me how to dry it properly so it doesn't look blah!

It is, I think. They're still not allowed in the bathroom 'cause of the toilet paper issue, but the new basket slows them down a bit at least.

Must be a pain in winter to dry... That's one thing I had to start doing in Canada, was making sure my hair was at least mostly dry by the time I left the house in the morning, since below freezing temperatures + wet hair = OMG OW BAD!

Usually. It's why when I was living in DC, I'd shower at night during the winter. I'd have some spectacular bed-head in the morning. (To illustrate - Jen came out of her room once and exclaimed "AUGH! You have Mel hair!") but I didn't die of COLD.

It's warm and dry enough here that I can just let it air dry.
